The entire beach was darker than any night I’ve ever seen,
and the only light was the end of my cigarette.
The dogs were hurrying up and down,
and the waves were the loudest i’d ever heard.
I could feel myself falling in love with you,
but not like boyfriends and girlfriends.
Like when you meet someone,
and you just know that they understand you,
you just know that you want them in your life
for as long as you can keep them.
So i guess you could say I’m in love with you,
but in a new special way thats just for you and me.
