An Instagram Update

I really love instagram and i post very nearly daily so people that follow me there (You can find me here if you’re not already following) get a lot of small snap shots of my life. The thing with instagram though is that i hate writing long captions so i tend to just try to say something short and witty or deep meaning it rarely relates to what the picture was really a moment of. Because of that, I’ve decided to start a new series on here where i just sort of post a few pictures from my instagram and talk about them a bit more. Let me know in the comments if you life this idea!

This pictures is from about 5:30PM last night. My quest to ‘catch them all’ took me down to the river Mersey and i decided to put my phone down for a few minutes, sit on a bench and just relax. I’m the kind of person that finds large bodies of water very relaxing so just sitting here looking over at Liverpool and listening to the water helped me to just stop for a little while and spend some time thinking and sorting my head out.

This picture is clearly just a selfie and its from around lunch time yesterday. It was the first time in a while i had gotten ready and left the house on my own, by my own choice so i snapped a quick selfie just because i felt really happy and good about myself and i think its important to take note and appreciate those moments. I know the selfie gets a lot of stick but i love a good selfie since they make me feel good about myself and i love feeling good about myself.

This picture is of Rich, my boyfriend on Friday night. We went camping together for the second time, the first time without friends and the first time just in the woods rather than on a designated camping site. We just had a really chill night and even though i came home with a cut thumb and somewhere in the region of 20 bug bites it was a really enjoyable trip and I’m really glad we did it. I feel like it helped to bring us a little closer together due to the lack of phones or other technology (apart from when I’m taking pictures but I’m an aspiring photographer amongst other things so i think he forgives me for it).

Here we have another picture of Rich, this time on Saturday morning. We left our little camp site exactly as we found it and headed out the way we had come, or so we though. Thirty minutes later we used google maps to figure out where the hell we were and sat outside this random house waiting for our taxi. It was about 8AM by that point and i’d been up since 5 but i thought the lighting, the ivy climbing up the post and of course my boyfriend all looked beautiful.

This was the first picture i took on Saturday morning, before i had even wriggled out of my sleeping bag. We were woken up by a rooster (or is it a cockerel? I’m not sure, the one that shouts cock-a-doodle-doo at 5 AM on a Saturday morning) and i snapped this picture straight away since its the first time in about 10 years that I’ve woken up in a tent surrounded by nature.

This is my final picture. It doesn’t show it too well but this was sunset on Friday night. We had no long gotten our fire (by which i basically mean we got some charcoals somewhat hot) started so the smoke made everything around us seem a bit faded and the sunlight looked gorgeous the way it came though the leaves. I had a lot of small moments on this camping trip that i want to make sure i remember so i have a million more pictures, and i’ll be writing a separate post thats properly about our camping trip so make sure to follow me on here or bloglovin.
