So, I know autumn has literally just begun (autumn definitely begins on September first) but I already have gathered my supplies to ensure I’m going to be as cosy as possible. These are all things I also loved last autumn and can’t wait to use/do/drink again. So, lets get into it all!
First up is journaling. I don’t know why but I only ever want to journal in the fall time, so I bought a new lined notebook and some pencils from Rymans. Both the note book and pack of twelve pencils were on sale for ninety-nine pence each so I just couldn’t resist!
Next is the brown blanket you can see over to the left in the picture above. I absolutely adore this blanket and I’ve practically carried it around with me all autumn every autumn for as long as I can remember. It used to be very fluffy but now its more like fleece and if you look very closely at the picture you can see a zip because it has a bunch of zippers and poppers that turn into a dressing down/cardigan type thing! My mum bought it when she moved out on her own at seventeen and then when I moved out with my boyfriend at seventeen she gave it to me!
Of course, its not autumn without some delicious coffee! I really like these Nescafe pouches that I get from Asda for around two pound for eight or so sachets. There are lots of different flavours already and the further into fall we get the more that appear. Last year the gingerbread one was definitely my favourite so I hope I’m able to find that again this year. I also like these because I have a Costa travel cup (it has Santa on it!!) so I can just make this in that and venture out into the world without spending god knows how much in Starbucks or somewhere.
Cinnamon rolls are a slight obsession of mine. These specific ones are out of a tube (I know right, SO American) but I have more or less nailed my own recipe which i hope to post in the coming weeks!
Finally I included some balls of yarn because I really love crocheting at this time of year. Now, I’m not very good and I don’t recall ever finishing a project I’ve started but I enjoy doing it all the same. I like to crochet if Rich wants to watch something on TV that doesn’t interest me too much since we can still sit together without having to focus on the same thing.
If you have any fall favourites left over from last year, or recently found, please share them with me so I can try them out! I love autumn so much, I’m willing to do just about anything to feel that ‘Fall Spirit’!
