Carry on Beautiful!

I rarely get new make up, I know which products I love now and I tend to just stick to them so it can be difficult to know what to do when I want to do a beauty focused post. Today though, I noticed a lot of tweets saying that people struggle to find products they want to stick to and since I’ve luckily found my go-to products very quickly, I immediately knew I wanted to share them! So, without further ago, we can get into my all time favourite/go to make up products. 

First we have these contour sticks that I’m fairly sure are from technic but, since they have been very well loved I’m no longer able to tell or remember. They came in a set of three, the dark contour colour, a light highlight colour and a shimmery highlight that I’ve since lost, which is find because it was far too purple toned for my skin. This is the only contour colour I’ve been able to find that matches my skin tone and blends really well. It’s warm enough that it doesn’t wash me out, but cool enough that I don’t end up looking orange. The highlight pictured doesn’t really do all that much for me since its barely lighter than my concealer but I mostly use it to blend out the dark contour colour and it works amazingly for that.

Next is a Kylie Jenner matte lipstick. I mean, its not, because I bought it for under a pound on Ebay, but it is a matte lipstick and its my every day go to. It stays on great, its a gorgeous colour and its easy, which it the most important part. I put it on with my finger like a lip gloss because it goes on way too thick with the doe foot applicator, its definitely the kind of product that you have to figure out how to make it work for you, but once you do its perfect.

This foundation has been my daily go to foundation since I was about 14 and for good reason. It’s the only foundation I’ve ever used that didn’t make my forehead look flaky while my nose looked oily, and its the only one I’ve used thats actually lasted all day. Every other foundation I’ve ever tried was so useless that when I removed my make up at the end of the day I couldn’t even see any foundation on the wipe. Not this though, a lot goes on and a lot comes off but it never looks caky and it really balances my skin tone/colour out perfectly. Its also so perfect for my skin tone that when I feel like having a minimal make up day I can just put a bit under my eyes and in any problem areas and be done with it without it looking strange. Its perfect, its brilliant and I love it.

Another Technic product because they’re my favourite make up brand! The Mega Matte eye shadow palette is the best. There are warm and cool tones, lights and darks, pink and yellow tones, its just everything I could ask for. They build up really well so you can get almost a black look by building up the darkest brown and though they blend amazingly with a brush they don’t seem to shift at all through the day. They’re not super pigmented but that doesn’t matter because it is so easy to build it up and even though I use a lot, you can see from the picture they barely look touched and I’ve had this since last summer!

Finally, the Rimmel Glam’eyes volume and lift mascara is INCREDIBLE. My mum got it me for christmas and I had no idea my lashes could look this good. The volume aspect of it is impeccable, the lift is more questionable though which is why I’ve included my lash curler. The brush is made of sort of little plastic pyramid shapes in rows that go between fairly large and fairly small, which make it perfect for applying it to lower lashes too. I haven’t had it too long, but I can guarantee I will be repurchasing this when I run out!
