If you follow me over on Instagram you’ll be well aware that me and Rich recently went on a short trip to Manchester. We went with intentions to mostly wander around without an aim and see what we could find, but there was one thing I knew I needed to see, this cat cafe!
I won’t lie to you, it’s pricey. It’s £1 for every 5 minutes per person. It sounds a bit mad I know, but you do get free drinks while you’re in there so once me and Rich had played with the cats and had a lovely coffee each, the £6 we paid didn’t seem too bad, especially since we’d paid a lot more for a lot less in Costa that morning.
There are lots and lots of different cats and I was most excited for the fluffy ones. I love my two kitties I have at home but they’re both short hair, so I leap at the chance to touch a cat that feels like a cloud and I loved playing with them even more! There were toys all over the place that you could use to play with them, though there were of course rules about picking them up or following them around which were explained before we went in.
I was also super shocked to find out that they do yoga classes with the cats. CAT YOGA PEOPLE. This excites me greatly and if I ever find myself in Manchester again I’ll definitely be trying this out. Cats and yoga are the two most calming things in the world and I’m very jealous of anyone that lives near this place. Liverpool needs to get one of these places ASAP!
Would you ever go to a cafe that has cats wandering around anywhere? Is it your dream place or nightmare?
