Another week, another long update that only I care about. On with it!
The adventures of railway cat Rupert, and my sparkly tights and huge fur coat (faux fur of course, I triple checked).
For the first time in my life, I have absolutely amazing friends. We had a small get together for Dan coming back to visit from uni and we had a great time (even though Freddie and Kiah couldn’t come and we missed them). I don’t know Dan and Betty as well as I know everyone else so I was unbelievably anxious but that vanished about four minutes after everyone arrived and I had a genuinely brilliant time, plus Ellie stayed over and we watched Harry Potter the next morning which was heavenly.
I’m the kind of person that asks for books for pretty much any occasion that includes presents and boy did Rich out do himself for this anniversary lark. He got me The Mighty Book of Boosh, as you can see in the picture, as well as Noel Fielding’s ‘Scribblings of a Madcap Shambleton’ and Robert Webb’s ‘How Not to be a Boy’ which I’m currently reading and would very much recommend. Once I finish it there will definitely be a post about it!
I really enjoy doodling and drawing, but I’m not great at it and I lack the passion to actually become great at it so for a long time I just didn’t do it, whats the point if its not going to end up framed and admired in some fancy gallery? I don’t suppose there is a point, but I enjoy it so I’ve started doing it again anyway and I’m having fun with it too.
Ellie is the best person to take weird photos with because she looks adorable regardless of the filter, lighting or angle.
I’ve started wearing my hair curly? I don’t know whats happening. I have always wanted curly hair but its always been just straight and wouldn’t hold a curl…until now! I don’t know what has changed but braiding my hair while its wet and letting it dry like that now leaves me with these, if I do say so myself, lovely curls for days! I’m not complaining, I love it and it really improves my opinion of my appearance.
