It’s Christmas!

Every year at the start of December I get EXCITED. I love christmas, I love all the festivities and spending time with friends and family, the food and parties and all the glitter everywhere and the way most houses are lit up with colourful lights and little light up santas. I just love it a lot so I wanted to talk about a few things I’m looking forward to this christmas.

One of the first is that this is the first christmas that me and Rich have decided to spend together rather than us both going to our parents and then meeting in the evening and I can’t wait to wake up next to him on christmas morning and get to actually give him his presents then! Presents is another thing I’m looking forward to because I’ve got some people presents that I absolutely know they’re going to adore and I can’t wait to see their faces when I give them to them!

I’m also really looking forward to experimenting with food! This is my first vegan christmas and my brothers keep talking about all the things I’ll be missing out on, like pigs in blankets and mince pies, and I assure you I will not be missing out on anything and I’m hoping to share lots of vegan recipes right up until the 25th because vegan food can be great too!

Cosy nights are the best thing that comes with christmas in my opinion, sitting around in pj’s with friends or family to watch a christmas film with hot chocolate and cookies is my favourite part of winter in general but it gets even better when I can force everyone around me to watch Nativity or Miracle on 34th street, though I won’t lie I’d love to watch christmas films all year round!

Finally, I’m looking forward to times with friends this year! It’s been a while since I’ve had really good friends so I can’t wait to give them presents and bake with them and just get to have a great festive time with them! I definitely intend to force everyone into buying a christmas jumper too, because is it really christmas if you’re not wearing a light up jumper?

What do you look forward to during this festive season? If you don’t celebrate christmas I’d love to hear about whatever it is you do around this time of year!
