You’re not the first person to feel as if you’ve not seen everything the world has to offer. Well, if I’m being honest, nobody can see everything the world has to offer (even if you had unlimited money, you’d need unlimited time to achieve that). Still, every avid traveller wants to feel as if they’ve spread their wings and seen aspects of many different cultures and destinations across the planet. Obviously, there are different ways to travel. Some people prefer a quiet 2-week holiday at some all-inclusive beach resort, but others might find that a bit too dull. Why waste 2 weeks in one place, right? You should use your time off work well. Here are some of the best places to explore in that big world out there.
Whilst it may not be the first country that comes to mind when you’re planning on travelling around the world, Mexico is a destination that has so much to offer in terms of culture and fantastic sights. You should head to the city of Santiago de Querétaro and stay at the lavish Courtyard Querétaro hotel whilst you’re there so that you’re not only staying in stylish accommodation but you’re also at the heart of the action in the city. The capital of the Querétaro region has so much to offer. For starters, the city is covered in amazing pieces of architecture. The city aqueduct is its most impressive sight; it comprises of 74 arches and stretches for hundreds of metres. The Church of San Francisco is another architectural masterpiece worth admiring whilst you’re in the city.
If you want to explore the world but you aren’t ready to let go of the idea of a relaxing beach holiday in the sun then this is the perfect compromise. Italy is a country full of fantastic natural sights, glorious beaches along its coastline, and a heap of culture to experience. Head to Puglia if you want to relax on glorious beaches with the added benefit of nearby historic towns such as Avetrana and Manduria to explore. Obviously, you should visit the city of Rome if you want to experience a cultural haven with both important historic value and incredible sights. Stay by the Spanish Steps so that you’re only a short walk away from everything worth seeing in the city. The Colosseum definitely needs to be at the top of your ‘To See’ list, of course. Italy’s a beautiful place to explore.
This wouldn’t be a list of beautiful places to explore on your travels across the planet if we didn’t mention France. This country is the home of so many famous people and historical influences that have shaped the face of the world. It helps that it’s an aesthetically-pleasing place to visit too. Obviously, Paris has so much to explore in terms of iconic landmarks and delicious cuisine, but you might want to take your French experience a little further than this. You should travel to the incredible Mont Blanc (which translates, rather fittingly, to white mountain) in Chamonix if you want to experience the magnitude of mother nature. There’s so much natural beauty in France.
Fingers crossed I manage to visit these beautiful places in my life! Where was the best place you’ve ever holidayed to?
